Here are just a few of the items featured in our email newsletter on 12-4-2011
"12 Tags of Christmas" with Tim Holtz
We are all following these designs each day...they are tons of fun. Here at the store I will make some samples where I turn the designs into actual cards that can be sent, or used as gift enclosures. If there is interest in classes, we will schedule them for January, when we all have some free time.
here is the blog address so you can follow along.
We carry everything you will need to make these or similar style tags.
So far, here are Tim's tags from the first few days...
Graphic 45 has a new release...all of it is here now...see that hula dancer in the first photo???...the paparazzi chased me all over the island for that photo...I was hoping it would never surface...oh, well...I will probably have to put up with stalkers now...the price of beauty.

New as of August 28, 2011
Well, I got stuck out of town by Irene, , time got a bit away from me and to top it off, I broke a nial...so, the last two weeks of "new" are bundled together here, so sit back and relax!!
Some of the newest releases from Tim Holtz are arriving in the store...we have received the new 12 x 12 paper pads for halloween and Christmas...these are the kraft resist style papers
and we have the new christmas and halloween charms and the holiday muse tokens for christmas...
also, below, is the kraft-resist chipboard alphabet...
New cling-mounted stamps from Stampendous...
Crate Paper has some great holiday designs...that red sheet has almost all of the words to the "Night Before Christmas,"...I noticed that no one was throwing up the sash...I always liked that sick part...
We are back in the metal stencil business, now that they can all be run through your die-cutting machine so that they will emboss the paper...there is a trick to doing it so that the stencil does not bend, and it is related to how you create the "sandwich" for the die/paper, etc. Use the multi-use platform, for the Sizzix Big Shot or Vagabond, open up Tab #2, leaving Tab #1 in place, over the hard thick white base. Now, (NOTE-important part!!) turn this platform + Tab #1 over and place your template directly on the back of the thick white piece. Then, place your paper, then the rubber mat, then two of the clear acrylic mats. I got this info directly from the folks at Dreamweaver Stencil, tried it immediately, (after bending a few stencils,) and it works!!
We also have lots of the pastes, and the new spreading tool (foolproof!), as well as two videos.
We have The DVD on the shelf by all the stencils, so you can watch it there or take it into the classroom and sit for a spell.
Jenni Bowlin has new vintage Halloween with papers, stickers, and embellishments...
...and the same items in vintage Christmas...
...new 7 Gypsies rub-ons, the cool pencil sharpener, and sets of prismacolor pencils, like the ones that Karen Lockhart will be using in her upcoming classes (check the calendar for September 22-23.)
New dies and embossing templates, some of which emboss and cut at the same time...
We combined a stencil with the bough die-cut to create this card...and we also have the deer trio back in stock...
Two new mags...the Magnolia Ink one, and the latest Cloth, Paper, Scissors...
More new stamps...
"Phantom" paper from Pink Paislee...
More new from Maya Road...woodedn spools and snowflakes, clocks, white snowflakestiny flowers, doilies, ruler pieces, and that brown thingy there is a hair clip...just add flowers...or diamonds...
What's New as of August 14, 2011
We have been having so much fun making the relief image clay pendants. I will schedule another class for the fall...but for now, we have new images from the Rubber Stamp Tapestry company. It goes without saying (even though I am actually saying it) that these are great on paper, too.
Marvy has a new pen...it is permanent, and alcohol-based..sound familiar? It turns out to be very similar to the Copic pens, and is quite compatible with them, too. I have used these at the CHA show and they work really well. Price of each marker is only $2.99. If you are already using Copics, which I really love and will definitely continue to use, these are a great addition. They are also a less expensive way to get into the whole blending marker style. Right now, there are 72 colors, and we have them all.
Canvas Concepts has some interesting items...blackboard paper...it erases, and you can rewrite on it..great for dinner menus in the kitchen, but also, if you distress a little with chalk and write in permanent white, it is also great for scrapbooks...also new, recipe-themed papers, recipe cards, blank calendar pages (I have big plans for using these with Darcie's pre-made number magnets.)
...and of course, holiday papers in kraft and white based papers...
New Art Parts from Studio 490, made by Wendy Vecchi...
The newest release from Tim Holtz..cling stamp sets for Halloween, christmas, thanksgiving, and there is a label set in there, too...
Karen Lockhart has new images, which we receive automatically, and she will also be here to teach four classes in September...check out the Upcoming classes page.
American Crafts has my favorite release from them ever...great basic Christmas colors and prints...
And their "Zing" embossong powder, in the metallics, is one of the best I have ever used...smooth and shiny!!
New stamps from La Blanche..these print out with wonderful details...
Echo Park has a new line called Happy Days...think of the TV show...it is a bit retro...
And the Halloween line is called Apothecary Emporium...
