SUZE WEINBERG TO TEACH HERE!!
We are delighted that we can host the internationally known and loved artist, Suze Weinberg, to the store over the weekend of August 27-28. Suze will teach a Friday evening class, and a full day workshop on Saturday. Suze has developed products for Ranger, one of our all-time favorite companies. She will be using her Melt art pot, tools and powders, Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE) as well as wax, and wax tools. Friday's class is from 6-9 pm and is called "Waxing Poetic." You will be learning all about beeswax collage while you create a great piece for display. You may bring any pictures you would like to use, but Suze will also be providing images. If you bring any pictures or papers, be sure they are fairly thin--no thick scrapbook papers, please. Also, you will need to bring white beeswax, a heat tool, and scissors. Also, wear an apron! Class is $60 (visiting artist classes are always non-refundable.)
On Saturday, Suze will do an all-day presentation, called Melt Art Mania. In the morning we will be working on a mirror, with UTEE, the mold-n-pour material, a heat tool, and the melting pot. In the afternoon, we will be assembling all sorts of melt-art jewelry, and Suze will teach everyone how to create the Leandra bead (photos to come. ) Cost for this all day workshop with Suze is $70. We will take a mid-day break for lunch. Class begins at 10 am, and the day will run until 4 pm.
